In Liuzhou people have lots of entertainment activities to enjoy themselves, and some may be similar to you, while some may astonish you.
One of the most interesting things attracting people is searching for strange and aesthetic stones. Due to its karst landscape, Liuzhou is famous for its unraveled strange stones for a long time, and one of local people’s hobby is to searching for those stones. People may go to riverside, mountainous areas or stone markets to find stones, and they may go to Liuzhou qishi park, qishi museum and Liuzhou qishi city to see those beautiful stones, and they may buy some stones for collection and decoration. Qishi refers to stones having a strange but unique appearance, Liuzhou has a qishi culture for hundreds of years. Liuzhoiu qishi city is established in 1999, especially for operating qishi business and broadcast qishi culture, and it is a trading center for qishi and a communication center for stone culture.
Liuzhou has a complete entertainment industry, having entertainment venues like karaoke hall, pub, and disco bar. Liuzhou in daytime is quiet, suitable for a leisure and comfortable life, people may go to a park for walking in the morning go climbing in a park or a scenic spot, and they may go boating in a lake. Jiangbin park located in the riverside of Liu river has various facilities for sightseeing, leisure, entertainment, and fitness. It has planted lots of trees, and has fresh air in the morning, besides it has fitness equipment, thus it is a good place for morning exercise. Panlong shan park has a peak named Panglong shan because it looks like a Panglong, a curling dragon. Panlong shan has an elevation of 197 meters, and the steep mountain is suitable for climbing. On the top of the mountain, there are buildings, like Wenguang tower and Panlong tower. People may have a grand view of Liuzhou after their climbing to the top. In this park, there is a tremendous cluster of man-made waterfall, which is the biggest man-made waterfall cluster in the China.
In the afternoon, people may go to a cafe bar or a tea house to have a soft drink and have a casual and relaxing talk. People may go to theater to watch art show, go to museum or library to arm them with knowledge, and those cultural entertainment activities are popular in people of all age groups. Liuzhou museum located in the eastside of People’s square, has over thirty-six thousand cultural relics and exhibit ethnic culture and history of Liuzhou. The building of this museum is spectacular, and it has 21 embossments in the facade, referring to Liuzhou in the 21st century. It consists of several exhibition halls, from history hall to fossil hall, and shows Liuzhou from history to culture.
In the evening, entertainment activities are richer, and people tend to have a late night life after a tiring work to release pressure and enjoy themselves. In the evening, the city is much busier and chaotic. There are cuisines from kebab to drinks, and entertainment activities like singing and dancing. Except this, people would go to a theater to watch a film, go to Panlong shan park to watch waterfall, which is attracting under the lamplight , and go to watch music fountain in the north side of Liu river. The waterfall cluster in Panlong shan park has a length of over 200 meters and a height of over 12 meters, and it opens at night from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. everyday. Behind the waterfall is Panlong mountain, and it is an extreme good background for the waterfall. The music fountain has a length of 315 meters, and a width of 40 meters, and 832 taps which can make water landscape have a height of 100 meters, and it is one of the biggest rising-down fountain. In the evening, the water landscape under lights and moving with music is amazing and breathtaking.
The old people would have early-morning exercise in a square, like playing Taji, and wushu, or go for a walk in a park, and they would have cups of tea in a tea house or play cards in the morning or afternoon. In the evening, they would have square dancing, which is a popular activity for them. Children like to play in a park, or entertainment zone especially for children, and they may go to a game center to play game, and may go to a book store or library to read all kinds of books. Young people may go to a cafe bar to have a chat with their friends or a sports center to shape their body In daytime, and they may go to a pub to have a drink, or go to a karaoke hall to sing songs or go to a disco bar to dance in nighttime.
