Shijinglin - Garden Expo Park Ccenic Area
Shijinglin- Garden expo Park is situatied in the Chengnan New District of Chongzuo City, about 1 km from the administrative center of the city government and has a total area of about 3,000 arces. The Shijinglin scenic spot was developed in 1988 and was formally opened to the outside world in 1991. Garden Expo Park was officially opened to the public at the end of 2015. At the end of 2016, Shijinglin- garden Expo park was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction.
Shijinglin Scenic Spot
Chongzuo Shijinglin Scenic Spot is a state-level scenic spot approved by the State Council in 1988 and is also an important scenic spot of Guangxi Huashan Scenic Area. Shijinglin scenic spot is a Karst landform with the characteristics of "wrinkled, transparent, leaky, and thin" rocks. It forms the natural Potted stone forest due to the long-term Rain erosion and weathering, hence name “shijinglin(in english is stone forest)”. Because of the unique peaks, steep mountains, beautiful caves, and numerous cavernous landscapes, it was hailed by the tourists and scholars as “the rarest in the country and the first in Guangxi”. So far, lots of classic scenic spots have been excavated, such as “Three Sisters of Contemplation” (Jade Girl's Contemplation), “pigsy see Flowers”, “plain sailing, “Two Lions Welcome”, “Jade Rabbit descend”, “Elephant Trunk Hill”, “Renshi Life”, and so on.
Shijinglin Scenic Area has prominent subtropical plant landscapes. The plants are green in all seasons and rich in green resources. There are numerous precious and local specialties plants, including the national first-class protected plant “China No. 1 Adiantum” and the national second-class protected plant “Dragon Tree”, the nine-layered skin (sterculia nobilis) and orchids. According to incomplete statistics, there are as many as hundreds of Chinese herbal medicines in scenic spots.
Garden Expo Park
Chongzuo Garden Expo Park is based on the theme of “love Zhuang region, beautiful Chongzuo” and “find the Chongzuo landscape, realize guilin dreams, which Highlight the folk customs of local Zhuang people in Chongzuo. The overall layout of the park is constituted by One Axis (Shanshuihua Axis), One Heart (Main Pavilion and Center Square), Double Ring (Main Tour Ring Line, Water Loop) and four Area (Main Pavilion Area, Exhibition Area, Tourist Service Area and Zhuang Culture Park). It mainly constructs 14 urban exhibition parks, main pavilions, Zhuang Culture Park, 4 landscape bridges, Guilong Pavilion, and precious tree species garden. Among them, four bridges that connect to the park, namely Nadao bridge, Tonggu Bridge, Xiuqiu Bridge, and Maguai Bridge, would fully display the cultural elements of Zhuang township.
Mengmeng and tiantian are the two mascots of the garden expo park. The two mascots are based on the concept of “duling”, which represent the two pillar industries of “manganese” and “sugar” in Chongzuo City. The pronunciation of "Mengmeng" and "tiantian" is the same as "Manganese" and "Sweet" in Chinese. It embodies the "Chong Zuo fierce Development" and the sweet taste of Sugar Cane. This pair of mascots embodies the connotation of Chongzuo, caters to the theme of “love Zhuang township, beautiful Chongzuo” and conveys the warmth and friendship of the Chongzuo people.
Chongzuo Garden Expo Park will become a permanent comprehensive park, together with the surrounding Shijinglin Scenic Spot and Shuikou Lake Conservation Area will form a national state-level scenic spot, becoming a microcosm of rich tourism resources in Chongzuo and a sustainable green space for development. Chongzuo City will further support the construction of various functional districts of Chongzuo garden expo park, strengthen the management of hardware and software, give full play to the driving effect of Chongzuo Garden expo park, plan the future operation and management of Park Expo, introduce market mechanisms, and Gradually cultivate the business state of garden expo park. At the same time, according to the national 5A-level scenic spot standards, Chongzuo Garden expo park will be turned into a high-end tourist attractions.
