Sanjie Liu is a fairy singer in the legend of the Zhuang minority group. Liu Sanjie's hometown is a national AAAA scenic spot, located in the Chengbei District of Yizhou City, Guangxi Province. The scenic spot is 7 kilometers away from the city center. The entire scenic areas take the Longjiang River and Xiajian River as tourist belts, including the tourist collecting and distributing center, the former residence of Sanjie Liu, the ancient Zhuang, the water stone forest, the fairy singer Bridge and others. It has now become one of the most important boutique lines for Guangxi Ethnic Tourism.

Since its opening in 1992, the scenic spot has benefited from the influence of the movie “Liu Sanjie” and has been loved by tourists. In 1996, the Chinese Culture and Art Center succeeded in filming the fourteen episodes music drama of the "Sanjie Liu" in the scenic spot. The popularity of the scenic spot was further expanded and became the shooting base of many well-known film and television media in the country.

 

 

The legend of Sanjie liu

It’s said that Liu Sanjie is an ancient folklore singer of Zhuang ethnic group. She is smart, beautiful and fame as a “fairy singer”. Born in Tang dynasty(750), Sanjie liu was a clever and good at singing. When she was 12 years old, she could raise her hometown with songs. People are very fond of Liu Sanjie. There are many stories and records about her. Guangxi people celebrated every March 3rd as a festival to commemorate her.

Xiajian river

The Xiajian River is the most beautiful river in Guangxi. Xiajian river, also called linjiang river, is located 4 kilometers north of Yizhou City, Guangxi and originates from Pingan village, dongxing township, huanjiang county and merges into longjiang, with a total length of 151 kilometers. On December 17, 2017, it won the title of "the most beautiful hometown river" in China. Xiajian River is characterized by clear water, green bamboo, strange hole, odd peak, and contains the legend of Liu Sanjie.

 

Liuhe walled village

Liuhe walled village is the former residence of the Zhuang nationality Liu Sanjie, is a large sightseeing resort in the Xiajian River. In the village, there are antique buildings such as Zhuangzhaimen gate, Zhuang totems, farm work tools, and teahouses. They used to be the shooting base for the TV series “Liu Sanjie” and now is the center attractions of Liu Sanjie’s hometown folk customs tour.
