18 water ecological scenic spot is one of the most worthwhile tourist attractions in Hezhou, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions for Hezhou citizens. There are ten waterfalls and eighteen bays in the scenic spot, hence the name “eighteen waters”. Within the scenic area, the mountains are deep and the waterfalls are clustered. The original forest coverage rate is 92.3% and the average annual temperature is 18.2°C. Its divide big, curve long, and the beauty of form, the momentum of beauty, can be rated as "guangxi first cascade group" and enjoy the reputation of “Southern Jiuzhaigou”.

 

The 18-water scenic spot is an ecological tourist spot integrating sightseeing, tourism, health maintenance, sports, entertainment and leisure. The scenic area is known for its “three strange places” with odd water, queer stone and strange trees. There are mountains and forests deep within the scenic area, waterfalls are clustered, and strange stones and ancient trees are towering. There are more than 20 attractions. Each attraction has its own unique scenery.

 

 

Attraction

Shoushi yingbin  寿石迎宾

This is the home of longevity since ancient times because of the First-rate air and the first-class water quality. Emperor Xianzong of the Ming dynasty wrote a “Shou” character on a stone and wished everyone could live long and fortune, live long with the sky, earth, mountain and 18 waters.

Fairy waterfall 仙女瀑布

The shape of the waterfall resembles a graceful fairy. In a certain climate, around 12 am, rainbows often appear before waterfalls, and the fairy waterfall is named after it.

 

Huangchou waterfall黄绸瀑布

Huangchou waterfall is the most beautiful, graceful and ornamental waterfall in the 8-grade cascading waterfalls. Before the waterfall, the ancient trees in the mountains were strange and there was a tree known as the “duozi dengke”. It was considered a kind of good fortune, indicating that there are many sons and more fortunes and they can succeed in the government examination.

 

Big Buddha waterfall

The Big Buddha Falls is the most magical and spectacular waterfall in the Grade 8 cascading Waterfalls. Because the whole shape of the mountain in the waterfall resembles a big Buddha and the big Buddha's right hand is like a spigot. It resembles a big Buddha using his right hand to open a spigot to spray the water, so it was called the big Buddha to send water waterfall.

Jinchan Stone 

This stone resembles a bufonid. According to the records of ShanHaiChing, The Goddess Chang's flying to the moon and become a bufonid. Therefore, the moon was also named toad and the moon palace was called toad palace. You see the toad open the mouth and looks vividly. The yao people thought that the toad is the embodiment of Chang.

Shenlong waterfall

At the top of the waterfall, a huge stone resembles a natural orb, dividing the water source into two parts. The water runs straight down from both sides of the rock,with greatly powerful, forming a magnificent scene of a double dragon playing with pearls. The pool at the end of the waterfall is deep and calm, like a recumbent dragon.

 

Acacia Lake

This is a beautiful small lake called “Acacia Lake” where lovers love to take pictures and row a raft. But in fact, "Acacia" here mainly to cherish the memory of the Emperor Xiaozong of the Ming Dynasty for his biological mother. In ancient times, it was the shengmu pond named for Ming Xiaozong emperor.
